New Mexico was hit very hard in Navajo and other tribal areas for a variety of reasons by Covid. The main reason being multiple generations often living under the same roof and the younger generations being more active and bringing home the virus to their parents and grandparents and siblings. So now, New Mexico is trying very hard to vaccinate everyone.
They have just been through a real horror movie in real life especially on Indian Reservations in their state. Because of this horror they have responded better than most states have in actually taking responsibility and getting everyone they can vaccinated. So, they now have the highest percentage of any other state of their people vaccinated at this point.
