It's supposed to be around 67 degrees today and it's already 66 at 9 am so I'm not sure if I believe the weather report or not. However, either way it's nice to have a sunny morning here on the northern California Coast near San Francisco. It was strange to find out that a major bridge on the railroad north and south near Weed, California burned in the Lava Fire. My wife said she was very aware that there was no train traffic near our hotel in Mt. Shasta. However, I was oblivious to this at the time as worrying about my friends' property and houses and their safety during the fire and my being able to breathe when there was smoke occupied some of my time mostly then. Luckily, we had a great air conditioner in our hotel room that filtered out all the smoke and left clean pure air for us to breathe especially at night there.
Also, it might be important to know that there is a Tesla recharging station that will take many cars in Mt. Shasta as well if you are traveling through there in a Tesla or other compatible rechargeable car or truck heading north or south on Interstate 5.
