At this point I likely wrote "The Protectors" where she comes to California first. However, it's easy to see how she was originally a clone of Silver's brain he made when he found a way to convert his brain processes into a robotic lifeform and this was written actually in 2035. Initially he invented the KRNL of her as a way to speed up production of his many inventions. He is sort of a Thomas Edison or Nicola Tesla inventor born around 2000 AD in New York.
