What does this really mean?
It means that the Species (not necessarily your personal Soul) predated any galaxies that the Soul Species actually created ever. So, our souls (the species) predates matter and galaxies.
People might be upset to learn that their souls are an actual species that predates matter itself. However, it is true that both matter and anti-matter (and other things) existed before Souls took them apart into matter and anti-matter to create matter and anti-matter galaxies. You might say where are the anti-matter Galaxies. The answer to this is an interesting one. Every Galaxy of necessity has an anti-matter galaxy to counterbalance it's existence in another dimension the other side of the Black Hole that is the center of every matter Galaxy.
Basically NO matter galaxy could exist without a duplicate identical anti-matter galaxy counterbalancing it in another dimension through the black hole of the galaxy.
I just realized that every planet or sun or nebula that gets sucked into the Black hole also has the same sun, or nebula or planet being sucked into the black hole from the Anti-matter galaxy too. This kind of realization sort of blows my mind but I can also see the symmetry there too.

How long does a soul live?
This is very individual of course but potentially a soul can live likely billions and billions of years. But, in the end it is up to each individual soul what it actually chooses to do in the same way it is like that with human bodies on earth. At literally any age someone might choose to walk off a cliff and that would be it or any other fool thing a human being could do.
So, basically, if you choose to go on living as a soul theoretically your soul could live basically forever.
However, it would take some good training growing up as a soul to actually make this happen.
