It's been sunny every day pretty much since I got here last Saturday. I haven't had this much sun this many days in a row in the SF Bay area since maybe April 2021? I had to drive 5 to 10 miles inland from the coast to ever see the sun at all mostly.
So, being in Santa Barbara has been sort of like being in Hawaii from about November to April only with less humidity than Hawaii. If you have ever been to Hawaii often it is like breathing underwater when you first get off the plane (UNLESS) you are coming from some place that is incredibly humid on the plane already. I can remember going to Thailand in December of 1985 and it was so hot and humid (In December?) that I sort of wanted to die during the day time. At 1 am when we landed then it was okay because it was nice and cool but during the day I could not believe it was December in the Northern Hemisphere anywhere still. We didn't have air conditioning at the Guest House we stayed at on the top floor but it had big fans that ran every night and you had to take off all your clothes pretty much even then to stay cool enough to sleep and all you ever needed even at 6 am was sheets on the bed at most.
There was fog Saturday that reminded us a lot of a UFO incident which was about the same time the Internet (Cox Cable Internet) shut down in Goleta. Then it also shut down in Santa Barbara (Cox Cable) until Wednesday night.
It looks like the Space Marauders have landed folks right here in Santa Barbara maybe and if this happened then the first thing they brought down was all businesses in this area. I wonder why?
But, at the same time, strangely, this week has been very peaceful visiting my son and daughter here in Santa Barbara too.
Very unusual week.
