It's not THE GREAT RESIGNATION it's the GREAT UPGRADING instead

There are two things happening. People over 55 are retiring early if they can afford to and other people who are hopefully qualified are replacing them. This then leaves many lower paying jobs open. So, unless the lower paying jobs don't raise their hourly wages they likely won't be filled.
