Seven Years in Tibet (1997)

 This is the true story of Heinrich Harrer, who was a famous Mountain climber. He and a another friend escaped from India to Tibet at the beginning of World War II and stayed in Tibet until WWII was over. I think his friend married and stayed there in Tibet even after WWII.
