I can remember staying at Granlibakken in Lake Tahoe in 2002 in the winter writing about Jonathan Flow

The winds were too strong to ski by going up the Gondola for night skiing in what was called then Squaw Valley but now I think they call it "The Pavillion " or something like this now.

There is some skiing or sledding at Granlibakken but it is mostly a bunny slope for teaching your kids to ski or sled or toboggan or inner tube on. So, if you are a more serious skier going then to Squaw Valley (now called the Pavillion) I believe will suit you better.

However, the winds caused them to shut down the Gondola where I liked to ski then and so I had to return to the Chalet at Granlibakken to my wife and daughter who was born in 1996 that day. So, I sat down to write about Jonathan Flow since I couldn't ski. It became a very magical and interesting experience writing all this down then.
