Back to the Fog on the Northern Coast of California: Presently 58 degrees here at 10:30AM on Saturday

However, in Death Valley it is already 110 degrees Fahrenheit and should reach 126 degrees by the end of the day. Tomorrow there is 127 degrees with a low of 96 degrees by the way. I can barely see the trees on the coast it is so foggy right now. We drove South to beat the heat this weekend because even Mt. Shasta is supposed to be 101 today and 99 tomorrow. However, I went to Castle Lake on Wednesday afternoon and it was amazing because almost no one was there that day. I only saw one person paddling by where my friend and I were swimming in the lake. My friend didn't want to get cold so he found another place to get into the water in the sun. However, I took my Hawaiian boogie board straight out through the shade. He eventually found a better place for him to get into the water where it was sunny. It reminded me of being on my vision quest in 1983 because then I couldn't drink water or eat food but I learned to "eat" the sparkles of sunlight reflecting upon the waters. Also, I learned recently that one of the medicine men I studied with in the 1980s passed away a year or  so ago. I had dreamed about him the night before. He was in a lodge with other medicine people very peacefully in a forest. It was good to see him so peaceful and happy and glad to see me in my dream. I felt incredibly relieved to see my old medicine man so happy and peaceful in his heaven realm.

By God's Grace
