rain clouds hold twice the moisture than before ? I asked this question but did not get a definitive answer. I think it likely that our government doesn't want to frighten people with the truth of twice the moisture potentially being held in rain clouds. (because warmer air holds much more moisture than cooler air scientifically speaking.
I'm not sure how this affects snow clouds because they often are rain clouds before they are snow clouds. But, I'm thinking that the moisture will dump some in rain as it turns to snow before it turns to snow? not sure about the right answer here.
