h1n1 and sinusitus Etc.

In some ways what I have learned the last week or more from my own experiences with H1N1 and what I'm hearing from basically everyone I know nationwide is that dying from it might not be the worst thing you can do.

Of course in a certain way I'm kidding you but in another way what I'm saying is that I'm hearing more and more about related illnesses that go on for weeks or months. The other problem appears to be that even if you survive H1N1 many people have permanent lung damage from problems directly related to this virus. And even if you don't get permanent lung damage there is this persistent sinusitus that I'm presently dealing with 7 days after the worst of H1N1 that I felt like I was dying from last Saturday night through Sunday night and up to monday morning.

From all the people my wife has spoken with it is imperative if you still have a sinusitus a week later that you go to your doctor for antibiotics. A friend of my wife's we just found out didn't go to the doctor immediately and is still sick in sinus and lungs since August and having to use asthmatic inhaler now even though she wasn't asthmatic in August. So like I was kidding about in the beginning of this article, maybe the worst thing about h1n1 isn't dying but having to live with the consequences of ever being exposed to it or even if you don't get it all the peripheral illnesses that are out and about with it these days worldwide.

For younger people who don't yet have seniority in their jobs or own their own businesses yet the danger is too many missed days of work and being laid off as a result. For small business people it is having to shut down their businesses too many days while they are sick and losing necessary business. For students it is missing too many days and too many assignments and not being well enough soon enough to catch up. h1n1 is not just about death it is about the havoc it is creating in every life directly and indirectly all over the world.

Polar Shift

My wife just informed me of a scientific fact that I had not heard of before. I cannot verify this myself so If you want to I wouldn't know where to verify it. HOwever, if it is true it goes like this.

"If a big enough chunk of Antarctic ice broke off all at once it would automatically cause a wobble in the earths rotation along its axis. If the wobble doesn't settle down immediately this might be enough to reverse the poles. Now, reversing the poles does NOT mean earth goes upside down suddenly. What it does mean is that it would be like suddenly turning a pole magnet upside down so the north pole becomes the south pole and the south pole becomes the north pole. It is a magnetic and electrical change not a physical change outside of the wobble created by the breaking off of too much Antarctic ice at one time"

The scenario if it happened wouldn't allow any crops to be grown for about 5 years and it is relatively unknown if anything electrical would work or not until it is redesigned during those 5 years because all things electrical are magnetically based in that electricity(except for solar cells) is all generated by breaking magnetic fields of one or more magnets.

Another thing my wife was saying was "What if a crazy or terrorist nuked a large section of ice off in order to create say a religious apocalyptic event to temporarily or permanently end human civilization." For example, say a rich preacher (Christian or Muslim) decided to help the end of the world along so everyone could return to God such a scenario could also happen by boring a long tunnel or strategically placing explosives on the surface of a large ice outcropping in Antarctica.

You might say, "Is it useful to know this?" I would say it is in your enlightened self interest to know about it so it can be prevented.

2012: Disaster Movie

Unless you just nuked Earth out of existence completely in the first 5 minutes of a movie you just aren't going to see more disasters on earth in one movie than this one. It takes a little time (about 1/2 hour in setup but after that you will be white knuckling your seat arms in the theater or holding your loved ones hand and squeezing it for the next 2 hours. If you are entertained by disaster movies then you really don't want to miss this one. It's got something for everyone. I kind of like getting teary in a movie and this one worked for me too in this way. Don't miss it!

A Helpful Article

The world is now changing in ways that are unhelpful and unuseful to Americans. Or at least they are unhelpful and unuseful to the ways that Americans have always liked to see themselves. Americans are at present having an unhappy moment in their history.

We like to see ourselves as the wealthiest nation on earth that always has money for the poor all over the world. We like to see ourselves and the world policemen and policewomen. We win all the wars. We are the best fighters and strategically at least no one can match us in formal battles. But like all big armies of the world that have ever existed, we are no match for guerrila warfare conducted by a population that will never support us as in Afghanistan.

There is a military truism. "You can never win a war without eventual popular support in that area." Since we have possibly permanently lost popular support in Afghanistan we may now be in a similar position to the Soviets for whom Afghanistan was their Waterloo. The reality of this should not be underestimated.

The loss of face in Afghanistan would be much worse than the loss of Viet Nam. It would be a world wide image changer. And at the very least we would no longer very useful at our perceived role as World policeman.

And if the United States isn't the world policeman who would be? I don't think any one nation would be egotistical enough or wealthy enough to take on that role again. China has too many home grown problems and only through being ultimately capitalistic and pragmatic will it survive intact this century by remaining one country.

India, I suppose could become the next world Policemen but this remains to be seen. The likely model will continue to be the United Nations and Nato and other localized alliances by region.

The problem the United States is facing is one of identity. It is like a very rich man having to enter his new middle class house because he can no longer afford his mansion. The man may or may not survive the economic shift. The same is true of the United States.

Will the man become rich again? Only if he can downsize into his middle class house for now!

Apples in My Ears

The problem with Channeling for any human is that on some levels we all are close minded and if not close minded we are enthnocentric and if not ethnocentric we are single minded and if not single minded we are stubborn about what we believe.

So I thought of a little story to illustrate the problem. Say, for example I or someone else said to you, "I have apples in my ears!" You might just laugh and think them strange and that would be the end of it.

But if that same person said, "I have golden apples from God that grow out of my ears and if you eat one of them you won't go to hell." Still, most of you wouldn't believe this but those of you who were particularly afraid of going to hell might be interested in what I or someone else who said that might have to say then. This is part of the problem of channeling.

Even on my best days of channeling something I can usually tell at what level of accuracy I am at. For example, I can tell you on a specific day that I'm about 75% accurate. For any channel for example, no matter what they tell you none of them usually gets beyond about 90% accuracy on ANY given subject. The reason for this is that all we humans have our biases and since information doesn't usually come in in any language but just in thoughts and thought pictures the problem is always in the translation into English or whatever the language is of the person doing the channeling.

Also, where a person is can have an incredible effect on the outcome of whatever you are doing. Whether a person is for example on top of Mt. Everest, Mt. Shasta, or another mountain or whether that person is in a place where they feel threatened facing a gang in an inner city or wherever or whatever. There is an infinite variation of possibilities. So if you are going to channel just for yourself or for others be sure to pick a place with excellent energy and vibes that will in itself tend to lift those you want to help of your family and friends.

However, in the end, I believe that everyone has to make their own covenant personally with God. Only then can a person have a 100% good connection with God all the time if they wish to maintain such a personal covenant. Channeling would be about 100th best in relation to having a personally created covenant with God.

Going to a church would come in about 50th best in relation to a personal covenant with God. So, creating your personal covenant with God is more important than any religion or any church or any channeling or anything else you do from birth until death in your life.

End of the World? I don't think so

If you check facts scientifically, you find that scientists can't even calibrate the Mayan Calender precisely with our Christian Based Calenders for a variety of reasons. So 12-21-12 is only a good guess at the ending date. So the actual end of the Mayan Calender could have already happened as early as 1980 and could happen as late as 2020. It is said there is a 35 year window of probability. For example, one could argue the end of the Mayan Calender was when the really bad 2004 earthquake and tsunami happened around Christmas 2004 and probably be just as close as saying 12-21-12.

However, my wife and I were talking about actual psychological deaths and how the public changed a lot world wide. For example, when JFK(John F. Kennedy) was assassinated it was one of the most awful and insecure times for this nation in my lifetime. I call it "the end of innocence and blind trust by the American people of their government forever. So, when the Beatles came along one year later or less a whole generation of people were ready to "Make love not war" because we knew our government had killed Kennedy (and then later his brother). For us, the American government would never be trusted by us ever again. I call this "The complete death of innocence and blind trust for my generation".

There are several other incredible psychological explosive changes I have witnessed in my lifetime. Like when Nixon went to China. Did you know that most of China's success in the world began with Nixon in China. Before this China was thought of almost exactly as North Korea is now. In other words we were fictional characters in their media and they were fictional characters in ours, always a recipe for eventual bloody war. Nixon ended the chance of a land war with China and began to make them financially interdependent with the United States. And Now here we are and China is beating us at our own game. We didn't have a war but maybe China didn't need a war to defeat us. Maybe they only needed capitalism all along.

Another big change was the Cuban Missile Crisis. Never were the people scared of ALL dying by melting hundreds of big nukes like that time.

Another big change was the collapse of the Soviet Union because the Soviets didn't realize that Afghanistan is an unconquerable nation. Has America learned from this. Doesn't look like it. You can nuke it out of existence maybe but otherwise I think we should leave it alone or very likely we will inevitably suffer the same fate as the Soviets. A sick cynical statement would be: (Yes we CAn)Suffer the same fate as the Soviets in Afghanistan. If it weren't true I wouldn't say it, unfortunately. I don't want Obama to become the American Gorbachov. We live in very scary times.

So, do I think the world is going to blow up 12-21-12? NO. But it might economically be the permanent end of the America we know unless we figure out a new way to cope!

Maiden Heist: The movie

I rented a netflix movie based upon the cast alone and was very rewarded. This movie is a sleeper and unexpected in every way. If you aren't over 50 you might not appreciate it because it deals with three characters nearing retirement age who are guards at an art museum. Each of these Guards doesn't know each other at first but each over the years of guardianship has fallen in love with a different work of art at the museum. The thought of being separated from that work of art is impossible for each of them to imagine living without much like a wife or very important lover. So when their art pieces are to be shipped to Denmark without them, they find each other. What happens then is the fun part.

Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, and William H. Macy are the three guards and if you like extremely eccentric but good acting you might love this sleeper of a movie. It is a comedy drama.

Bank Card Fees

If you are someone who constantly overdraws their checking account and has to pay these fees then maybe it isn't practical for you to have an account like this.

One alternative is to have a home safe and keep everything in cash there. If you have to pay a bill or bills you go to the post office or bank and buy a money order or bank draft for the amount. I know this is inconvenient but would you rather be charged 36 dollars or more each time you bounce something?

One lesson about those people who become wealthy and stay wealthy. They don't bounce checks or checking accounts(at least those who make the money as opposed to those who spend it). They always pay off their American Express cards monthly to avoid (ANY interest payments at all on anything). And if they are paying interest it is in buying and expensive car or house or other property and almost never for anything else. If you have money you don't keep it paying interest unless there IS no other choice and usually there are many choices, people just don't usually look for them unless they are middle class or above in wealth.

In the 1980s I looked at my parents having to borrow money so they could retire. I thought that was awful in 1980 when my Dad and Mom retired. My Dad made good money and we always had everything we needed because Mom believed she could have anything for $% or 10 dollars a month. I remember my mother after Dad was gone leasing a gold Honda Accord. I had just bought her another new Honda but she traded it in on a lease. They took her coming and going. Then when the lease was done she bought the gold Honda. So Basically, at this point she had paid for it three times over. I told her not to do it but she never listened to me about money. (She really didn't listen to Dad about money either).

All these occurrences made me decide to not have any credit cards, except one for emergency. That one for emergency we used once for $500 dollars. We then made minimum payments for one year. We still owed over 500 dollars. At that point I realized just how evil credit cards are and cut my last one up and paid it off and didn't get another credit card for about 10 years until I was going through a divorce.

Just remember there are many alternatives to being gouged by bounced check fees by your local bank. One of them is giving up your checking account and buying your own home safe. If you can keep your spending under your limit you could keep your credit cards but these days if you spend cash and your safe is empty, it is realistic to know when you are out of money. If you spend someone else's money through credit you are paying through the nose.

The number one thing that keeps people from moving forward in their lives financially is credit card debt and interest debt. A house is only an asset if it's paid for otherwise it is a liability. Just look at the last two years.

50 State Foreclosure list

http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/housing/2009-11-11-foreclosures-down_N.htm?csp=34

I found the above 50 state foreclosure list and was depressed to see that California where I live has 85,420 foreclosure filings and is number 2 in the nation in ratio at one foreclosure for every 156 housing units. Nevada is the worst with Las Vegas as the worst foreclosure rate for that state.

I noticed that Vermont has the least foreclosures at 15 which creates a foreclosure rate of only one for every 20,762 housing units.

After the article it lists all the states alphabetically. The number before the state is the rate of foreclosure compared to all the other states with Nevada number one and California number 2.

Dioxin and Agent Orange

Dioxin is found in the old herbicide 24d and Agent Orange, Purple,Pink, and Green). They were called the "Rainbow Herbicides" and were used upon the Viet Nam DMZ between 1961 and 1971. Birth defects of all living things still occur in this area because of this spraying. It is harmful to anything with DNA on earth and unlike most other toxics there IS NO safe level for any living thing. The primary problem for humans exposed to it is reproduction as in deformed children or children with multiple heads, legs or other appendages.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polychlorinated_dibenzodioxins#Toxicity

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agent_orange

All life on earth has some dioxin present in its tissues both plant and animal at this point.

Even home sprays like roundup are said to be highly modified dioxin based sprays that are related to both Agent Orange and 24d.

I cannot be specific about the following point because I did not find the original quote but it appeared to me that it said that dioxin could exist in its present chemical form damaging human and plant dna for hundreds of years or more. So anywhere it has been used it will affect all lifeforms plant, human, animal, bird, insect etc. until it breaks down into something else.

So, for example, if you eat something that has been feeding in dioxin contaminated areas, like birds, fish etc. the concentrations of dioxin would or could be off the charts as both fish and birds and other animals that people eat concentrate this dioxin in their flesh. So eating dioxin contaminated meat could have serious carcinogenic or reproductive consequences to the consumer of the contaminated meat or fish and their children who would be naturally affected by all sorts of problems from their parents consumption of contaminated fish and meat.

This is one of the reasons I don't use any herbicides or insecticides in my yard. It may make more work but I don't want to endanger myself, my family, my pets or even wild animals, friends or relatives who visit.

Because of this I still get frogs in my yard which are extremely sensitive to insecticides and herbicides but none of my neighbors do. People use herbicides or pesticides might find a dead frog but are unlikely to find a live one in proximity to where they have recently sprayed.

Also, all paper that is white is white only because of dioxin. So only paper that is a natural brown does not have dioxin in it. It used to be also in feminine products and was the cause of toxic shock syndrome which killed many women before the 1980s. So, all white toilet paper, napkins etc. have dioxin in them. When any of this white paper is burnt at dumps or in home incinerators the air can become a carcinogen carrier of dioxin and other toxics. Since it is a man made toxic with no safe level at all for any dna based lifeform human, animal or bird, fish or plant or insect it will continue to cause havoc with reproduction of all species both plant and animal as long as it exists on earth and doesn't break down into something else, which could be hundreds of years after it is manufactured.

Oblivion

I was trying to think of the primary state of consciousness that I was in while experiencing h1n1 this last weekend and I think "Oblivion" would be the best word. For me it came because my body told me I might die. Oblivion was my response to near death. What is this oblivion state of consciousness? The best way I can describe this would be to say "My mind no longer hurt from being human at all." Because I was past caring about anything.

Now, to be fair I could go to this ultimate healing place of voidness and oblivion inside all humans potentially only because my wife wasn't sick and could care for me, my finances were in order, my home is a good one and safe and my daughter was getting over her h1n1 bout though still too weak to go to school. If I hadn't had anyone to take care of me I might not be here writing about this for you now. This is a given.

So, it could be said that oblivion like this is a luxury available to those who have the resources to survive this. Because without "completely giving up" through oblivion I might not be here today.

I can't remember any viruses in the last 30 years at least that hit so hard so fast and just sneak up on a person like this one does,(And then you are down like a cadaver of someone who has been shot).

I think as families it might be important during this flu season to not get so run down through overwork or stress that you lessen your chances of survival if you get this thing. If you get it all you have is what is inside you because all desire for food ends until you are over it and that might be days or weeks or never.

Living off of the grid

By Grid I mean the electrical grid which I suppose one could do anywhere on earth if they so choose. But it likely would be harder to do in city or suburbia unless one has a lot of sun and solar panels on their roofs.

So, if you choose not to be on an electrical grid for now, or permanently depending upon your inclination, just remember that it will affect both for better or worse (usually both) every other aspect of your life. So it is usually better to think about the consequences of your actions ahead of time. However, when I did this I was about 32 to 37 years of age and it was 1980 to 1985 in Northern California on the side of Mt. Shasta at about 4000 feet in elevation on 2 1/2 acres of land that we built an A-Frame on.

At the time the national economy was a lot like right now. The unemployment rate was approaching 10%. So we decided we could greatly reduce our expenses each month as a family by buying land, selling one of our vehicles to buy lumber and building and A-Frame that could withstand the 7 feet of snow that could be on the ground at any one time there from December to April or later. This was how we as a family chose to weather the storm of the last big recession somewhat like this one. The big difference this time is that the whole world is in a recession except for China and India so it might take years longer to recover this time in regard to employment rates.

So, when we took our savings and bought the land and then sold one of our vehicles for buying lumber we decided to buy land that had no grid electricity available and still doesn't now because of its remoteness. This would also keep the land value low and so our property taxes would stay low as well. There was a spring on the land to draw water from but we chose not to drink it unless we boiled it even though it might have been okay to drink just for safety. Mostly, we drew drinking water from springs near the city of Mt. Shasta about 30 miles away at that time.

Also, at that time we were home schooling our children who in 1980 would be ages 5,6, and 8 years of age. Today, one is a lawyer, one is a fire captain and one is in nursing school in the final stages. But at that time our main goal was a pristine good wholesome life for our children out in nature on a low budget. So, to some degree we lived a wilderness family existence with all its good and bad outcomes.

The best times to be there were in Fall and spring because in the summer it would get dry and the dust from the dirt on the volcanic roads around Mt. Shasta could be a problem in the summer. In the winter it was fun playing in the snow until it got too deep(usually anything over 2 feet of newly fallen snow on the dirt roads was too deep to push through with my 4-wheel drive International Harvester Scout II 1974. We bought a 6 cylinder engine for better mileage but it could still pull a pretty large trailer if I need to haul something. In the snow it was unmatched by anything else stock. In addition to four wheel drive it had a locked rear end which was pretty incredible. I had to be careful not to go somewhere four wheeling for fun and get the International stuck for several months because nothing else could go where I could unless it was a snowmobile or weasel with tank treads. But I was old enough by then to think of my families safety first rather than just snow play.

Solar cells during that time were not that practical yet like they are now. Good rechargeable batteries and small devices like GPS, cellphones, and even music and TV on Cellphones wouldn't be invented for quite a while yet. There were people I knew who lived off the grid like us then who put a car alternator on an Exercycle and had their kids get exercise if they wanted to watch TV. The TV only worked if they were on the Exercycle with the pedals spinning. A lot of kids and parents stayed in shape this way.

Mostly, we stayed awake during the daylight hours and when it got dark and cold we would light up our wood burning stove to make the A-Frame cabin toasty. We learned to put a cast iron skillet on top of the stove so it wouldn't dry out the air too much and crack our lips until they bled. A cast iron skillet or pan is not a fire hazard even if all the water boils out. Whereas a regular pan can melt if there is no liquid inside at high temperatures and become a fire hazard. So we would fill the cast iron skillet before we went to bed at night and it would humidify the air all night long until it all boiled out or not.

For lighting we started with candles and candle lanterns which are fine except they don't really give off enough light for reading without eye strain if you do it on a regular basis. So we bought a couple of Aladdin kerosene lamps

http://www.farmhomesupplycenter.com

If you go to the above site and type in "aluminum kerosene shelf lamp" the top two on the left are like what we had by Aladdin. Ours were brass. The hardest thing to get used to is the kerosene smell and the glare because it is so bright if adjusted properly. However, they are the brightest light of any kerosene lamp that I have found and the best for reading or living if you can stand the kerosene smell. But for a cabin for a weekend it is a treat. Living with it every day you might not want to unless you are really trying to save money on electricity. But to each his own.

However, there is a lot to be said for this pristine lifestyle. It is a way to maximize your quality time with your kids and wife and teach them about nature and flying squirrels and deer and bear and whatever else lives in the woods and walks across your land.

Also, I found it was best to be kind and helpful to neighbors because that remote you want them on your side in a pinch even if you think they are a little crazy from being alone in the woods too long. I saw many strange things while living remotely and have now come to the conclusion that the safest place to live is in suburbia generally. The urban life can be dangerous and the remote life can be dangerous just in completely different ways. But the craziest people I have ever met were in the deep city urban neighborhoods and the most remote places I have lived. On the other hand you just might just also meet some of the most amazing people you have ever met as well.

You have to present yourself as a strong person that might have weapons: guns, clubs, knives, swords etc. even if you don't believe in stuff like that. You need to present yourself like you can take care of yourself and you don't want to appear weak if you are a man especially. And being helpful and neighborly is important as well.

Living in the country like I was, 10 miles from the nearest small town or service station with no phones and likely no cell service still, the only people you could depend on in an emergency are your family and your neighbors. And living this remotely should not be attempted unless your health and the health of all members of your family is good to begin with that will be living there.

But looking back now, it was living my dream of building my own house myself like my father had before me and about 4 to 5 very good years of home schooling our kids using "Oak Meadow School" school which still exists now. I saw it online recently almost 30 years from when we started our kids in kindergarten, first grade and fourth grade respectively.

These years when I was young enough to still be healthy and yet just old enough to know what I was doing were 5 of the best years of my life, living on the mountain, watching the sunrise on the mountain, newly fallen snow, a flying squirrel standing upside down on the side of a big cedar tree and scolding me for being too close while I laughed in amazement and pure joy. All these things I can never replace. So if this works for you and saves you enough money to keep your family together and happy together then go for it!

Since there was no electricity or water bills and since the land and house were paid for and since all our vehicles were paid for during this time our only real expenses were food(which we bought in bulk monthly from a health food Co-op to save money), gasoline to run our vehicles and not much else at that time. So our monthly expenses were almost nonexistent during that time in our lives. Property taxes once a year were one of our biggest expenses. So before you buy land find out what the property tax structure is on the land before you buy it. Every county and state is a little different in how they support themselves as local government.

By 1985 the economy was better and our oldest was 12 and wanted to return to public school so we bought a business on the Northern California coast and moved there where our expenses were again very high to afford to live there. So, we went from living in the woods on Mt. Shasta to living right on the ocean in a pine forest overlooking the ocean. But the satisfaction of living so remotely and simply while home schooling our children can never be replaced in my memories and just thinking about it gives me the strength to go on even now at age 61.

Tulku November 9th 2009

Since at least in this lifetime I wasn't raised or educated as a child or young adult in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition I must profess a certain degree of ignorance on this topic. I can only share my many experiences with Lamas, Monks and Nuns(Ani's pronounced Ah nee with emphasis on Ah which are what Tibetan Buddhist Nuns are called) and Tibetan Buddhists Starting during the 1980s in California, Oregon, India and Nepal. At one point my wife and I sponsored a Geshe Lama(spiritual friend) to the U.S. and helped him obtain a green card which is the same classification Catholic Priests use to come the the United States on their green cards. However, this was during the 1980s so it is possible a lot has changed since then.

My first experience and so first questions in this lifetime about what Tulku was came from reading Mipham by Lama Yongden. It spoke about Mipham or Mipam and how he didn't know he was a tulku yet (many don't know they are Tulkus until they reach their 40th birthday). Mipam had many trials and tribulations until he realized he was a tulku and was accepted as the leader of his monastery after he discovered who he was. However, since China has driven out most real Tibetan Buddhism out of Tibet(at least out in the open) many tulkus are choosing to incarnate all over the world. So the likelihood of them finding their lineage still being intact is unlikely. So a new way forward has to be found.

My understanding of what a Tulku is that he or she is a "Living Buddha". Or one who has attained "Full Realization" in a previous lifetime but who reincarnates even though he or she doesn't really have to in order to help and save suffering souls. For example, I would consider Jesus to be both a Mahasiddha and a tulku in this sense. I think those of you living in Christian nations would be really surprised by how highly Jesus is revered around the world in all types of cultures.

So the best translation for a Tulku or "Living Buddha" translated into English language or culture would be a Saint who became a Saint in a previous lifetime but who chose to reincarnate to save more souls. This is the best translation I can think of for Christians to better understand these two terms of Tulku and "Living Buddha".

So, let us imagine that this person is born and grows up and might be gifted and protected(all Tulkus have tutelary dieties and protectors). A good example of this would be some beings like Archangel Michael and his band always present to protect the Tulku from spiritual or physical harm. This protection has been earned by previously attained sainthood. So as the Tulku moves through his or her life one is usually very altruistic and a very helpful and kind person because this behavior was learned and mastered while becoming a Saint in a previous lifetime.

In the case of a Tulku this Sainthood could have taken place 20 years ago or 2 million years ago because this being is a Boddhisatva(someone who after attaining enlightenment keeps coming back to help others so they don't needlessly sink into hells. Generally, the tulku is protected from slipping back in a karmic way into a bad outcome.

So, the aura (presence) of a tulku radiates outward from the tulku and blesses all lives in close proximity or if this is an extremely highly developed tulku then all on earth or in the solar system would be blessed by this tulkus presence.

Though I'm not sure this is appropriate I first experienced this darshan(blessing) from an evolved being during the 1970s. Yes, I had experienced being in the same church with many evolved beings over the years but this was the first time I sensed the weather for up to 100 miles or more being affected by the presence of a spiritual being. It really took my breath away to experience this because though I had been told about this kind of thing. In the end Seeing is Believing even for an intuitive like myself. So after this experience I sought out more and more evolved beings who could have positive effects on people and all living things even if they were 100 or more miles away. So, my search for spiritual answers moved forward from my direct experiences in my life. Every answer led to a new question and a new answer and a new question. By now I realized the quest for truth and peace is never ending. However, I realized that it is always an adventure and the goal is not to get there because you never really can but you can have a really great time on the way. It is like a really fun chess game that gets more interesting each moment. So learning about efficiency of compassion becomes like a doctor learning how to keep people alive and to increase their quality of health. Only in this case it is increasing the quality of one's spiritual health so they don't needlessly suffer and sink into hells created by their own ignorance.

So, it is my understanding that what it actually is to be a Living Buddha, (I have met many) is to constantly be redirecting souls into better outcomes toward enlightenment and peace and happiness and away from bad outcomes.

Belief Creates Reality nov. 9 '09

No, you might say to me, "Reality creates belief." And in the end we both would be right. Because from conception to death both things are constantly going on.

For example, I just went through the ravages of Swine flu which sort of sneaks up on you and then makes you feel like you've had a really bad case of bronchitus for 2 or 3 weeks. So, within 2 days of knowing something was wrong my body told me I might die. Of course, I'm 61 so that is a factor too.

So, during the course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday my body told me I was too weak and that I was going to die. My mind said, "If I get enough rest and watch and make sure my fever doesn't go beyond about 104 degrees Fahrenheit I might be okay. Because much above 106 for someone my age can cause brain damage and cognition damage.

So, it gave me time to meditate on reality and death and belief. Most people deal with this if they think there is a possibility they might die. Once again, my body thought it was all over, my mind thought that if I just took care of myself to the limit of my ability while sick I would be okay. And My intuition always said, "You'll be okay." I kept reaching out to angels, Mother Mary, and Jesus and Saint Germain for reassurance, both to strengthen my belief that wouldn't die but also to be with all of them if I did. If anything happened to me I wanted them close.

Another strange thing for me is that my internet connection turned off about one week ago and it made me wonder whether internet connections are disconnected or feathered (some on and some off) when there is a major Swine flu outbreak in an area because of all the desperately crazy things people might write about with a fever above 105 degrees Fahrenheit. However, in the end, "Who Knows?'

Like many other areas a nearby Middle school (junior High) lost 1/3 of its students all at once to swine flu(not lost just absent) in a 3 day period. So it is hitting my area very hard right now. I finally went to an urgent care facility and the doctor provided a prescription for tamiflu. When I took the first dose I started to be able to think clearly again for the first time in a couple days.

Belief Creates reality. when a part of you thinks you might die it causes a person to question many of the things they think and believe even if your heart and mind and intuition says you are going to be okay.

I've never had any illness since about the 1960s or 1970s that laid me so low so quickly. This swine flu just sneaks up on you and kicks your ass within a couple of days without any real warning. I think this is why people are dying from it. It is unusual in that you feel a little sore throat and kind of ill at ease and then within 24 to 48 hours you have a temperature of 99 to 101 or more. It comes on quick and then just about beats you to death before you really have time to adapt to an illness. So, watch out for the warning signs if one of your local schools has 1/3 or more students out absent and make sure you don't overwork until it passes because if it hits you, you are going to need every ounce of strength to survive it. I'm hearing of people knocked out of working for up to a month in their 40s and older just trying to recuperate so they don't wind up in the hospital.

So I believed I would survive but I was scared I might not because it weakens one so far so fast. Take time to create survival strategies for your families if it hasn't hit yours already. You may dodge the bullet but then again you might not, especially if you have any kids in school or have to go to work every day in an office or store where you are out among the public a lot.

HOwever, just believe you will survive and pray if you get it. That helped me a lot, that and the Tamiflu. Here is the humorous part of all this. My doctor scheduled me for a flu shot on the 17th of November but it will not do me any good now. So my wife is trying to get the shot in my place before she gets sick too. My daughter brought this home from school with her.

So, hopefully, if you believe you will survive this, you will.

note: When my fever was spiking between 102 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit and I kept getting the chills we started with a wet wash cloth on my forehead and then went to a tepid bath (about 90 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 15 minutes. This broke my fever and brought me back to a place where I wasn't sort of delirious and I was okay for about 24 hours before my fever came back but even then it was only about 99 degrees Fahreneit. Don't use ice baths because children and adults over 50 have had their hearts stop or died from the shock of this extreme temperature change unless under the supervision of experienced doctors or nurses.

Becoming Human

I was watching the first part of the Nova series on Becoming human on PBS tonight. They were saying that for several million years human ancestors brain capacity of adults was about 400 cc. However, the next 2 million years after that there was extreme climate change in Africa where early human types were evolving. During extreme climate change the brain capacity doubled in these early humans to about 700cc and most of the other early human types that weren't as smart died off(went extinct) because they couldn't survive the extreme climate changes.

Likewise the extreme climate changes that the earth is entering into will likely increase again the brain capacity of the groups of humans who actually survive the coming extreme climate changes of the next several thousand years or more. So it is possible out the other end of the next series of extreme climate changes here on earth human brain capacity could eventually double again.
