I suppose you could get organically fed meat but it is much more expensive or you could start eating buffalo which tends to be much more primal with less fat than steer meat.
But, if you just go to ANY store you are going to get meat that is shot up with all sorts of stuff including anti-biotics etc. And in the past people got Mad cow disease, especially in England from feeding cattle News print to eat and other things like that. So, when you buy meat in a standard grocery you have no idea what it actually contains that is concentrated into the flesh of the animal. So, when you ingest it you actually have no idea at all what you are doing to yourselves.
This is why my father chose not to eat meat anymore in the 1930s while he was studying this. He was valedictorian of his High School in Seattle, Washington at the time. So, around this time (between 1934 and 1936 (when he was 18 to 20 years of age he decided to be a vegetarian and specifically a lacto-ovo vegetarian which is more like people in India eat. Lacto-Ovo just means you also eat milk products and egg products in addition to fruit, vegetables and nuts.
So, the problem of being a meat eater is mostly an early death from additives to the meat.
For example, when I grew up in the 1950s and early 1960s Building contractors who were "meat and potatoes men" often died from eating too many steaks and potatoes for dinner and then just going to sleep on it which is really bad for your body and shortens your life considerable. IF you are going to eat like that you need to stay awake at least for 1 hour so it doesn't shorten your life so much.
These are only some of the many problems (mostly health problems) from eating meat too much of the time. Basically, it tends to shorten your life.
However, if you don't get enough protein, especially while you are growing up that isn't good either.
So, what I would say here is "Moderation in all things" might keep you alive the longest.
So, too much meat will kill you.
And
Not enough protein is bad for you growing up.
So, finding the balance wherever you can, and however you can is important if you want to live a long life.
People who lived 100 or 200 years ago might live until 100 because there were no pesticides on plants then and deer and other animals weren't eating contaminated things covered with pesticides or herbicides and the deer weren't fed anti-biotics either.
So, most of the problems with meat these days is sort of like mankind shooting themselves in the foot. The problems are all self created.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
