Death isn't Scary

When you are a child death might be scary. But, if you are intelligent adult eventually you might realize that death isn't really scary. Life is much more scary than death because of the unknowns. However, once you eliminate death as being scary life can also be wonderful.

Being kind to yourself and all other beings is wonderful. Helping yourself, your children, and all beings to a better life is wonderful.

Being afraid of death isn't smart. It is stupid.

Being afraid of Craziness and pain is more sensible. But, being afraid of death is stupid.

First of all, we are all going to die sooner or later. So, since it happens to all of us being afraid of it just takes whatever happiness we have in life away from us.

So, a fear of death takes away our joy of life.

There are times when being afraid is useful. Like when we are standing in the street and we see a large semi truck bearing down on us and we run or jump out of the way. Or when we are on a railroad track and a train is coming we jump out of the way.

But, most times in life being afraid isn't useful so we must overcome fears like the fear of death.

The fear of death is a lot like our fear of boogiemen under our beds when we are children. It is just a fear of the unknown and nothing else really.

Maybe it's a fear of being alone. However, none of us are really ever alone as long as we are living here on earth. Think about it! There are 7 billion humans here right now!

When I was a child here in California there were only about 1 1/2 to 2 billion people. Now we are 7 billion on our way to 9 by 2050. Then there an incredible amount of dogs, cats, horses and every other kind of animal bird or fish you can ever name. You are not alone and death isn't scary.

Maybe that's all you need to know to be happy?

Maybe that's all you need to know to be at  peace.
