92% of people on earth either believe in God, Buddha or have some kind of religion

For example, in my own life while I was raised a mystical Christian in California mostly and both my parents were ministers especially while I was 6 to 12 years old I currently likely fall into the non-religious category possible because I don't regularly go to church or belong to any one church. However, I have a friend who plays music in Churches who tours around doing this and I often go to hear his music or he and his girlfriend or other people he sometimes plays music with in churches around California or Hawaii or other places. So, "nonreligious" still means that people believe in something are about 8% of the total in the world.

I found it fascinating that the U.S. is the single largest Christian country on earth. However, I was less surprised to find that Christianity is the largest single religion on earth with Islam in 2nd place and Hinduism in third place.

Also, since religion at this point is primarily a cultural thing for most people on earth and most people don't take it completely seriously because of this, I wonder how many people actually believe in their own cultural religion and to how many people it is actually like saying you are American, or Japanese, or English or Spanish instead of actually really believing in anything at all?

This would be a very interesting question if you could actually ask this question and get an answer from everyone on earth.

It is sort of hard for me to take seriously ANYONE who is an adult who believes in 100% of whatever religion they are in. I can however, see people believing 50% or more of their religions without considering them to be children believing in fairy tales.

In my own life there are things I find it useful to believe in and there are things I find not useful at all to believe in that I might have been taught as a child.

I have always believed (since about 12 to 15) that if God or Buddha did not exist that people would have to make something like God or Buddha up to not just run screaming over the edge of a cliff one day. This always has made perfect sense to me since about 12.

However, then there is the question that no one ever will be able to definitively answer which is: "Are God and/or Buddha real?"

For example, I can say to you that from my experience that Angels are real. However, my experience of God might be one of the beings who creates Galaxies that I call "The Creators" that live billions of years at a time as forms like Nebulas, Stars and possibly even planets (which are usually a star with solid on the outside covering).

However, unless you were interested in meeting one of these, you likely wouldn't understand this. Also, it is quite possible that souls are projected awarenesses of one or more of these types of beings.
However, for all of us this is all research in progress.
