My father used to say, "Figures don't lie but liars use figures",
which basically means you can twist scientific facts any way you want to (which is what all groups of people do) according to their agenda.
People who want everyone to be vaccinated (eliminate the scientific evidence they don't want you to see).
People who want you to believe in evolution (forget to tell you this isn't a 100% proven theory either)
So, even though it might be 60% to 80% that they are on the right track, it isn't 100% either.
People who own stocks in companies like Monsanto might not really care whether you and I live or die from the GMO foods they make as long as they can sell them to us.
So, who protects us from the liars that use figures?
Hopefully, you are college educated so you can see through the bullshit flying in all directions or you soon will be dead (or one of your relatives will be from the bullshit).
Everyone says "Trust me. Trust me. Trust me" and they might be completely sincere but also completely misinformed.
Just because someone is sincere doesn't mean they aren't going to give you bad information. Not that they want to "they just don't know any better".
So, if you don't know how to ask the right questions you might just wind up dead or wounded just like the average person will from misinformation. This is life as we live it everywhere on earth.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
