What do most European and American terrorists have in common?

They are primarily males under 35 and over age 15. They have recently been to jail or prison (not always). They were either raised or are new converts to extremist Islamic thought and if they have been to jail it was for some kind of violent crime. Also, if they are married or have girlfriends, often their wives or girlfriends have a similar philosophy.
