Book: The Hidden Life of Trees: What they feel, How they communicate

A Friend gave me this New York Times Bestseller for Christmas. I have had this experience with trees all my life to the point where trees are easier to deal with than Humans for me most of the time in forests especially or growing in the forest I live in near the ocean in Northern California. I have experienced forests all over the world. And often they will ask about other forests I have visited all during my life. So, in this sense humans bring news of forests they visit all over the world to new forests they visit. Trees and forests know when you love and care about them or not. They take our pain and give us peace. They take our CO2 and give us Oxygen. Humans are symbiotic with Trees and to not realize we need them and they need us is to be pretty ignorant worldwide. Without trees people go insane, take drugs and die worldwide. This is one of the many reasons forest areas need to be preserved. Because when all forests are gone we will be gone too along with all forest creatures.

From the frontspiece of the book:

Are trees social beings? In this international bestseller, forester and author Peter Wohlleben convincingly makes the case that, yes, the forest is a social network. He draws on groundbreaking scientific discoveries to describe how trees are like humans families: tree parents live together with their children, communicating with them, support them as they grow, share nutrients with those who are sick or struggling, and even warn each other of impending dangers. Wohlleben also shares his deep love of woods and forests, explaining the amazing processes of life, death, and regeneration he has observed in the woodland.

After you have real Wohlleben's book, a walk in the woods will never be the same again.
