pansinusitis- One potential consequence of having the present sinus infection traveling around the world

1. The main danger of getting a pansinusitis caused by the present Sinus infection going around the world is a brain infection. Since your sinuses are connected to your brain you have to be careful that if you get pansinusitis your sinus infection doesn't also spread to your brain. The primary way you can fight this is with a strong Anti-biotic like Amoxicillin or others appropriate to this end of staying alive. However, you might have to take something like this 2 to 3 weeks or more in order to keep okay. 

    I personally recommend taking a probiotic 6 hours after you take your anti-biotic during the day since you usually take one dose of anti-biotic int he morning and one at night. The reason to also take a probiotic is you will tend to get weaker and weaker otherwise as the anti-biotic destroys your immune system by killing not only bad bacteria but also good bacteria as well.

   It is important to understand that that is how anti-biotics work they heal you by destroying temporarily your immune system. So, taking probiotics is the way to build up your immune system as well. But, you can't take them at exactly the same time or they just negate each other. This is why you want to wait about 6 hours to take a probiotic which will be 6 hours before you take your next dose of anti-biotic.

   However, if you are going to be taking an anti-biotic 3 weeks in a row you also might have to do something to keep your strength up too so you don't have to take 6 months to get back to normal.

   So, taking a probiotic on off cycles of your anti-biotic doses helps keep your strength up while the healing process continues so you don't have to take 6 months to have any immune system at all. 

   IF you have had a sinus infection more than once (twice or more) this season then likely you should ask your doctor for a CT Scan of your sinuses, especially if you are on Medicare because this likely might be more common for people over 65. This is how a pansinusitis diagnoses is obtained if this is your problem. The usual treatment likely will be another 3 weeks with anti-biotics like amoxicillin or others.
