If you don't live near a Sanctuary City you might not know this. And this will surprise most of the people in the U.S. who don't live around non-citizen ghettos here in the U.S.
But, if people won't tell the police about really bad things they know about then literally thousands of people could die in a weekend often in one of these places. So, Sanctuary cities exist so police will not arrest people they suspect might be illegals. In return those illegals feel free to access police to keep law and order in their communities.
Otherwise it is all AK-47s and gang warfare and gang rape and you name it when a city has a ghetto where the non-citizens don't feel safe in talking to the police. European cities need to learn this too or else violence and terrorism will get a lot worse there too.
This is why Sanctuary cities realize Trump has no idea at all what he is talking about because he doesn't even understand what a Sanctuary city really is! It is mainly a way to prevent countless deaths and mayhem in these areas in the U.S. It is one of the only ways to keep these areas safe for both citizens and non-citizens to even live or be in at all at ANY time.
