Enlightenment is most easily reached while alone in wildness and nature. It is much less likely to attain full enlightenment in a city because a city is at best an art form or an abomination.
So, in the wildness of nature is Enlightenment most easily found.
However, balance is important in Enlightenment in order to maintain enlightenment.
So, going into the wilderness and meditating in a cave would drive most people just insane within a few months. I have met more than one of these unfortunates in my time here on earth.
So, balance is important or true and permanent enlightenment cannot be found that will last.
So, for most people a few days alone in the wilderness is enough to bring about their sense of wonder about life in general.
For the basis of enlightenment is a sense of child like wonderment about how amazing and beautiful the universe actually is. This is why this is unlikely to happen in a city. But, there are exceptions to every rule of course.
But, once again balance is everything. So finding what that balance or Zen is for you is everything.
Each human being is different.
I was mostly raised in Glendale in Los Angeles from age 8 to 21 in my life. By age 21 I had had enough of city life and wanted to do something else. But, with college and then by 26 a wife and child I had to wait until I was 28 to move to the country in Mt. Shasta. This was both good and bad because even though the country healed my soul from all the slings and arrows of life, it also was very hard to make a living living that remote as well. So, I had to find the balance of being able to support my family and stand by my son and my other children as they arrived and so my solution was to become a Householder Yogi which means my Yoga was of being a father and a husband and a financial supporter to my family. This worked for me because of my nature of wanted to serve and take care of my family also healed my soul. However, this might not work for all beings but it did work for my Yoga to do this.
Life often brings us many many unexpected things along the way and each one of these things became a part of my yoga to find a way to solve each and every problem as it came up.
Even at 50 when I almost died for 8 months from a heart virus I realized when I recovered that God had given me "The Leisure to Practice" which I had prayed for from 1980 to 1998 when I got sick.
Adjusting to being retired or partially retired from age 50 was quite and adjustment of course, but God provided at each and every level of my life and so I entered the Grace of "The Leisure to Practice the Dharma" So, God provided at every level my pursuit of enlightenment in all ways for myself and all beings like a King as Buddha demonstrated so long ago now 500 years before Christ.
So, to me, Christ was a student of Buddha and brought Grace and forgiveness just as Buddha Brought compassion for all life in the universe past, present and future.
By God's Grace
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
