It is currently 73 degrees at the top of Palm Springs Aerial Tramway right now at 11 am PDT Thursday.
In the winter time there is often snow at the top of the tramway at 8516 feet in altitude there. And this time of year there are open trails to walk on through the forests there too after you take the tram up from the Palm Springs area.
I went up here with friends when I was about 15 for the first time when it opened likely with friends. I remember my friend from Church had a 1963 new Dodge Dart slant 6 and we drove there in it with several friends from Los Angeles then. I think the driver was about 17 or 18 then. He passed away in 2006 in Los Angeles and was a High School Teacher.
