Or what the Technological singularity is now doing to mankind.
What has happened?
As we have moved away from local newspapers who give us the truth on a local and state and national and international levels we have replaced these "Sensors" of the public need with Hype.
Hype looks more interesting but doesn't allow the human race to survive.
So, when you have hype that looks interesting instead of information based upon actual needs for survival this creates more and more people who don't survive worldwide and locally.
This is presently what is happening to mankind through the Internet. The death of useful newspapers who bring the truth to mankind enough for them to survive, which is replaced with Hype of no value to survival at all but might be more interesting than watching people trying to survive their lives.
The result: Less and less people survive to adulthood. Less and less people get cared for to become useful citizens worldwide and less and less people can be considered civilized and useful members of society worldwide.
What is the result?
The slow death of civilization and to some degree either the end of civilization itself or it is also possible a new type of civilization might arise much different than that based upon nationalism or regionalism.
I'm not sure what is coming. But, I'm not sure I want to see the transition either because it doesn't look like an easy transition unless it is towards human extinction.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
