A perfect example of this to me is Saint Francis of Asisi. He had severe PTSD from fighting and having to kill as a knight for his duchy in Italy. I'm not sure what they called duchy in Italy. It appeared duchy is maybe the right name for something ruled by a Duke and Duchess instead of a King or Queen.
Well. What happened to Saint Francis of Asisi was that he was messed up psychologically from having to kill people in battle because he was an evolved sensitive sort of person and from this he became a Saint. So, he was just a normal person until he had to fight and kill as a knight for his duchy and then it led to him becoming a Saint through the PTSD of having to kill in battle and be wounded in the process in which he almost died.
Eventually he founded the Brothers and Sisters (monks and nuns) of the Franciscan Brotherhood that still exists today in the Catholic church and places like San Francisco are named after him in California.
So, from this point of view I would call Saint Francis of Asisi a fully enlightened man.
