For example, in my area several zip codes people cannot get a vaccine even if they are 65 to 74 years of age. At this point if you are 75 and above you can get a vaccine but only then. We are affluent enough because we are retired to spend the time on a computer to have found not only vaccines north of the Golden Gate Bridge a county far away from here and were willing to drive a couple of hours or more. (in traffic) both directions to get these vaccines twice now to be vaccinated with a Pfizer two shot vaccine. However, other people who don't have cars or are unable to do this likely still aren't vaccinated who are over 65 and over 50 in our area still. If you are a farm worker or you are a caregiver for children or adults you likely have been vaccinated but not the rest yet.
So, California, depending upon the county is really screwed up with all of this.
I have noticed that the more populous the county, often the more screwed up the system regarding getting vaccinated is too nationwide. So, the smaller the county often the better they do. It also seems like the more populous the state the more screwed up and unfair the vaccines are too.
This likely is also why New Mexico (which is not very populated) is doing the best to vaccinate everyone more than any other state at this point.
