A sense of "Wonder" is what it is to be a mystic

I was raised a mystical Christian and this has always served me well. I remember in the late 1970s I was grappling with Non-dualism and my wife at that time helped me with this. She had been to native American encampments and my parents had been Mystical Christian ministers.

Finally, someone successfully explained non-dualism to me. Here is how they did it:

Is rain good or bad?

Is drought good or bad?

Is wind good or bad?

Is fire good or bad?

Is snow good or bad?

That's right!

It completely depends upon the situation and who you are. You cannot equivocally say that any of these things are ultimately good or bad. It's how it affects individuals in each and every situation.

This is the best explanation of Non-dualism I have ever heard and makes dualism more for two year old children to teach them not to run out in front of cars more than anything else.

In other words:"IF you are an adult and still fully believe in dualism then for all intents and purposes you are a child! pretending to be an adult."

Because most things in life are not just good or bad they are many things to many different people.

What might be good for you might be bad for everyone else!

This is what it means to start to actually be a grown up and not a child.

To fully understand Native American religions you have to understand non-dualism.

To fully understand Tibetan Buddhism you also need to understand Non-Dualism.

To fully understand nature and all the creatures of the earth you have to understand non-dualism. Otherwise, you will be confused and afraid the rest of your life. And this will prevent you from fully living your lives if you don't understand non-dualism.

I have found that understanding non-dualism is one of the keys to both peace and enlightenment.
