It's hard to predict fully what the future brings for China but there are the rumblings of war in how things are going at least in Shanghai. When you send people to quarantine away from their homes and all their things and possessions and monies are stolen along with cars, bicycles, motorcycles and you name it "What are people supposed to think?"
It brings to mind trying to enslave the most educated and technically savvy group in China which tend to live in Shanghai because it is the most technically advanced city in China. So, does the Chinese government see educated technically advanced people as a threat to the government? Maybe.
Either way if you steal everything from educated people what do you have? You have a lot of really pissed off educated people mad at the government. And what does that create in China?
I'm not sure what that creates in China so we will have to see the result first hand.
One of the indicators here already is that educated people are saying that they won't have children and that they are "The Last Generation" of Chinese people in their line which if enough people think this way will completely depopulate China within 50 to 100 years. Will that happen?
I don't think so but studying China might be useful for all of us especially because they are allies of Russia since Stalin and Mao. So, China and Russia appear to be inextricably intertwined in whatever happens next.
Could China turn on Russia at some point? That's a possibility too if they think Putin is nuts in what he is doing in Ukraine and elsewhere.
So, all we can really do is to wait and see what happens at this point.
