Why is it likely that inflation might get worse?

 Some of the Reasons:

Covid everywhere on earth

Serious Covid Omicron in China right now

War in Ukraine etc.

We have already had two lost years so far from Covid Worldwide.

We now have the war in Ukraine likely partly caused by Putin's isolation caused by his paranoia regarding getting infected by Covid. (Maybe he knows much more about Covid than he is saying?)

All these things have completely disrupted Supply chains worldwide in a disastrous way.

Globalization had also made all countries interdependent in ways they were not before World War II.

All the above factors are getting worse not better.

These are just some of the many reasons why inflation worldwide could get so bad that some or many countries could collapse because the people might not get enough food at a price that they can afford and this would cause riots "Food Riots" for people who don't want to starve.

These problems are not likely to get better until the war in Ukraine (or elsewhere) are over. This does not look like a war that is ending anytime soon so it might be a 20 year or more war at this point. So, if the war lasts 20 years time then inflation could also last 20 years time too.

If you look at Ukraine sort of like Afghanistan war or Iraq war these are the lengths of time we might be looking at and this war could grind on indefinitely.
