The reason for these deaths is primarily people like Trump who advocated not getting vaccinated and others. So, those who didn't get vaccinated were very very likely to die if they got Covid especially in 2020 and 2021.
I always thought this was paradoxical because Trump was vaccinated. So, why did he encourage people not to get vaccinated? Unless he wanted people who believe like him to die in droves it just doesn't make any sense at all.
