Because I live in California near Silicon Valley and because as a young man I was a computer programmer and learned COBOL and Fortran programming languages starting in 1966 and then Basic language in the late 1970s then HTML from about 1995 on I can speak to this a little bit.
The problem is not at all what you are being told.
Here is the real problem. First of all, anyone with money can buy whatever information they want about anyone on earth who is online or in any government id situation worldwide. For example, if the Chinese Government couldn't buy information on people who use it from Tik Tok they can EASILY go to Facebook or Google and buy the same information from them about ANYONE who uses Facebook or Google on any level. There are also multiple other places China could buy this information.
The ONLY difference likely would be "how much the Chinese Government paid for this information".
This is why I believe this is a campaign for Facebook and Google and others to get the money for this information and other companies who gather this type of information regarding EVERYONE on earth so they can make the money from China rather than getting it relatively for free from Tik Tok.
This is the sad truth regarding all of this worldwide.
