A friend called today to me here in Portland, Oregon and said something like: "Wow! It's crazy you are having to deal with people you know having Covid near the 4th of July 2 years in a row. (This is because he and his girlfriend who are musicians got Covid playing music near Yakima, Washington on their way back from Lake Louise. Luckily, we hadn't seen them in 4 days because they were traveling to concert dates and we were taking a leisurely drive to Seattle to the Waterfront at the time. We wound up spending time in Seattle with a good college friend of my wife's and her husband before we traveled over a ferry to Bainbridge Island and drove north from there to Port Townsend where we had a lovely place to stay right on the water with ships of all kinds going by while we could view them from our 2nd floor terrace directly overlooking the water there.
So, now this year it is another family we are in close contact with here in Portland that all seem to have Covid as the husband tested positive for Covid Yesterday. So, we are concerned about all of their health at this point.
Anyway, we are here in Portland, Oregon and likely will be a for a few days more.
