"Americans always do the right thing, after trying every other possibility"-Winston Churchill

I think it's because Americans are so inherently experimental. It comes from being early colonists here where most people died when they first came to the U.S. in the 1600s through the 1800s. So, the only people who survived here were very experimental and open to trying new things. The rest died horribly mostly. So, we have this very experimental way of thinking and being and often we don't do the exactly right thing the first time because of this experimental way of being and thinking. Sometimes this serves us well and other times it doesn't.

Like right now, if we don't help Ukraine there might not be a democratic Europe or a Democratic U.S. 5 to 10 years from now. This is Real.
