Grey or Gray?

 The original Spelling was Gray but I think that Grey is also correct too. When I looked it up in an American Dictionary online when I put in the Grey it referred me to Gray.

So, likely An American Dictionary might prefer Gray but it is also true that Grey is also correct it seems.

Also, both Grey and Gray are referred to as Adjectives which would mean that they are descriptors
