It's a sunny day here on the coast but pretty cold even for this time of year.

We had taken our daughter out for breakfast and as we were driving home the temperature in the car was about 47 degrees. The problem with this for where we live is that it is now 11 pm as we returned home. This low of a temperature this late in the day is very very unusual any time of the year where we live simply because the daytime temperatures almost always are in the high 50s to around 70 to 75 year around. So, it should be at least 50 to 55 degrees a a minimum here where we live this time of day. So, this was surprising.

However, I also noticed a polar vortex has moved south pretty far across the country too at this point which is bringing down temperatures and which yesterday brought snow levels around the state down to 2000 or 3000 feet.
