Ozempic?

I was given a 4 dose sample of Ozempic and I found it difficult to get on the right dose because it wasn't obvious how to do this single dose at the lowest dose which is usually I think about .5 mg. The problem is you don't want to overdose ever because many people are really sick for a week. So, you don't want to be doing 1mg or 2 mg the first time out or you are going to likely wind up in the hospital for a week or more when you have bad reactions to this drug.

So, because of this I waited a while to take it. Finally, one day I went to my doctor and he said he would inject me at the correct dose. what he did was go to google or youtube and asked how to use a 4 dose dispenser and how to get the right dose. Part of the trick is you have to hold the injector with the needle straight up to get the right setting of .5 mg for the first shot which is a weekly shot.

What happened to me is that as soon as I took this first shot I went to Santa Barbara for a week from my home in the SF Bay area and what happened is I gained 5 pounds the first week. Then I was going to have oral surgery to remove a tooth that broke off at the gum level. Then after I went off of it for a couple of weeks I found that I had more desire for food in general and that it was much harder to eat a minimal amount of food like I had done before Ozempic. The other thing I don't like about Ozempic is one of the ways it makes you feel full is it slows down your peristaltic action of your intestines so it constipates you more to make you feel more full. I have grave misgivings now about using this drug or others like it now after this experience even though it was for only a week.

So now, I wonder if it could be useful to me or not or just make things worse after the experience that I had. I hear of people often gaining their weight back quickly when they go off these types of weight loss drugs too. Also, no one really knows the long term effects of these drugs either because they haven't been around long enough for anyone to actually know what happens to people 5 or 10 or 20 years from now either.

So, I have many more questions and pretty much no answers at all regarding all this. All I can share is my personal experience so far.

I went off ozempic because I had to take an antibiotic in order to prevent an infection in the broken tooth I had to have removed by oral surgery and didn't know the effect of ozempic and an antibiotic would be harmful or not.

Now the oral surgery went fine and I will likely have an implant put in to replace the tooth when the removal area is healed enough.

So, at least the surgery went well and the stitches have all come out so far.
