Here is the URL for that course: https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/intro-to-python-fundamentals/x5279a44ae0ab15d6:computational-thinking-with-variables/x5279a44ae0ab15d6:the-programming-platform/a/course-intro
It is called:
Intro to computer science - Python
It appears to be a hands on course where you can actually learn to program in Python which is one of the most popular languages to learn regarding programming artificial intelligence. Though this course isn't finished there is enough here to begin to learn programming of Artificial intelligence even for a beginner. When I grew up in the 1950s and was 21 in 1969 there were very few people like myself that knew anything about computers at all besides maybe what they read in Time and Newsweek magazines back then in popular culture.
However, since the advent of home computers starting in the late 1970s with rudimentary computers like the TRS-80 that I bought for 800 dollars from Radio Shack then in 1978 and then I taught my children to program their own video games with it. Of course there was no wifi really until the 1990s outside of something like Email or texting between big universities and big companies here in the U.S.
However, by the early 1990s you could get dial up internet through your phone which was very slow but at least you could go online and begin to do things then. Yahoo and America Online were the first companies to really tap into this demand here in the U.S. before companies like Google and Facebook were ever thought of. So, all this has evolved a lot to where I can actually ask questions of artificial intelligence in the form of Chat GPT and others and get useful answers to questions. It's true you can ask questions to Google or other search engines and you will get things people have written about whatever question you ask.
However, the advantage of asking artificial intelligence a question is it is composing this information from the present not 10 or 20 years ago. So, you are getting the most up to date answers to your questions that might put you ahead of anyone else you might be competing with for business or school. So, this advantage could mean a lot in many different situations.
Once again going to college to me is about learning to ask useful questions to save yourself or to save all mankind or anything in between or both. So, getting up to date information through Artificial intelligence could be life or death to many people in the present day we live in. For example, asking the right question of artificial intelligence could prevent human extinction too.
So, in this sense learning to program in a language like Python you also might be preventing human extinction if your motivations are good.
The biggest problem with Artificial intelligence is it is sort of like a plane or a car in the sense that it is also dangerous. So, if you don't follow certain rules you are going to crash your plane or crash your car and be gone possibly along with others.
So, being a responsible adult is very important if you want to save lives with Artificial intelligence rather than taking them.
Something to think about.
