The problem is that flooding they say will continue for at least a week because 18 inches of rain has fallen. Even 9 inches is way beyond what they receive normally this time of year. So, the water has literally nowhere to go at this point. And so things are going to continue to flood wherever they are for at least a week in Central Florida from Coast to coast. So, many roads will be flooded for the next week or more and nothing anyone can do will stop this other than bringing in military temporary bridges for some appropriate places where roads have completely washed out over higher ground.
