I started very young studying all these things with my father likely around 5 or 6 years of age and my father was Valedictorian of his High School Class in 1934 in the Seattle area. So, I studied everything so I would have things to talk about with my father because it was hard to be close to your father in the 1950s because it wasn't manly to be close to your son until they were about 10 years old then. So, in order to have useful conversations with my father I studied the news and electronics and Popular Science and Popular Mechanics then (the magazines) also we read the funny paper (comics in news papers then and read political cartoons too. Then we also watched travelogs on TV together because we both wanted to travel the world and he had already before I was born sailed to Tahiti with his first wife and brother and stayed there from 1939 until the war began on December 7th 1941.
So though my father passed away at age 69 in 1985 my love for knowing what is happening around the world has remained and my love of actually traveling all over the world has remained too.
So, studying what is happening affects all of us in various different ways from the Stocks we buy to whether our relatives die in foreign wars. This affects all of us in various ways. Also, how our government operates on a daily basis often decides whether we live or die on a daily basis (for example, from cryptosporidiosis which can easily kill those with compromised immune systems especially those with hIV or full blown AIDS and older people all over the world.
Because cryptosporidiosis isn't affected by Clorine or Fluoride at all so you can't get rid of it that way.
However, you CAN boil your water before you drink it and you CAN get a reverse osmosis system in your home the way I think it's Culligan offers too.
For example we have a Reverse osmosis tippet in both our SF Bay house and our Santa Barbara Family house too and we also have water softeners both places as well and in Santa Barbara we also have Solar Arrays on the roof to help with Electrical bills so your electric meter mostly goes backwards.
So, for me at this point I study the news in order to keep you and me alive ongoing and to help prevent human extinction completely this century so at least some of us survive this century.
But right now it doesn't look good at all with the new Robber Barons (Trump and Musk) there stealing everyone's money and rights from them (while saying something different that means nothing).
The problem as I see it is Trump is taking the right of every American alive to actually be alive anymore.
To me, this is the biggest problem with Trump.
Trump is death to the whole human race more than anything else!

He's actually crazy enough to do something like this because he has never had any useful consequences for any of his actions in life. He thinks he is king of the whole world and says things like this out loud while the rest of us might want to be king of the world we don't talk about it but he shows how insane he is by actually talking about being the most powerful person in the history of the world and compares himself to Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Putin and Xi.
To not take someone like this seriously is to die from not taking them seriously when they talk like this!
So, millions have already left the U.S. because of Trump and Musk and Corporate America who mostly supports him killing people all over the world and millions more might leave this year too to greener pastures overseas or in Canada.
If you are poor you can still become rich in Canada but you can't usually do this unless you are a singer or actor here in the U.S. anymore.
Why? because of the social programs in CAnada and Europe you can still get rich because they will help you in various ways.
For example, my older daughter's best friend had dual U.S. and Norwegian citizenship so got a free college education through Norway.
However, for example, unless you are in the top 10% of your class in Austria you don't get a free education there unless you are straight As.
So, because of this anyone can get an education if they go to a community college first because often that is free or close to free before they transfer up as Juniors to a 4 year institution. I did this too to save money. My son did this too to get his bachelor of science in Nursing from a California CSU in Southern California. He had about 40,000 in student loans when he graduated. We told him if he graduated we would pay off his student loans so he actually graduated so he didn't have to pay off the 40,000 dollars.
If you want your kids to graduate college this is one way to get them to graduate with a bachelor's degree.
