I think the U.S. also has to concentrate on offensive Shahed types of drones too like Ukraine, Russia and Iran are building now. It is likely that Israel is also building these offensive drones too.
However, THERE IS NO REAL DEFENSE AGAINST THEM WHEN THEY SEND 100 OR MORE TOWARDS ANY TARGET.
Why? Because it overwhelms the capacity of Patriot types of anti-missile systems worldwide.
For example, we were warned as Americans in California and the west and East Coast of the U.S. that Shahed types of Drones could fly 1000 miles from way out at sea at 5 to 20 feet above the ocean and hit any place they want to on shore which is possible now.
However, Iran is presently defending the home land and is unlikely to do this (at least now).
However, there is no useful defense against these offensive kinds of Shahed types of Drones at present if they send enough of them at one time. And at 30,000 dollars a unit it is going to become a worse problem every day now worldwide.
Will there be some useful way to defend against them eventually. Not sure at this point.
Just like what I call the Hand Grenade Drones killing soldiers individually by blowing them up one at a time or in groups walking around there is no real defense against Hand grenade types of drones either except for netting. And if something is traveling fast enough it will travel through most netting as well potentially even metal netting.
So, until the U.S. and Russia address this problem in some way useful to them both the U.S. and Russia will be vulnerable to these Shahed Types of drones originally built in Iran just like the U.S. and the middle East are now vulnerable as well as U.S. soldiers dying more regularly even if they are in Jordan or other Middle eastern Countries.
Also, could these small drones also carry small nuclear weapons or dirty Bombs. I think yes is the correct answer to this question.
