For example, I was paying 1800 dollars a month when I was 64 a year before I got on Medicare. How many people can afford that much for full health care. My wife had the same experience as she came to 65 too but she is 7 years younger than me also.
I found health care unbelievably expensive from my late 40s until age 64 and if you are still young you likely will too unless where you work has good health care coverage that actually keeps you alive. Not all policies will keep you alive if you have noticed news reports on TV either. However, Medicare is pretty good I will have to say at keeping a person alive after 65. It's just trying to live to 65 to collect Medicare in the first place is the problem.
