Why won't McConnell in the Senate let Republicans vote to open the Government?

This is something not very many people seem to understand. McConnell not Trump is holding all the cards here. As the Shutdown goes on we likely already have enough Republicans to re-open government in the Senate (and for sure we have enough of everybody in the House to reopen Government). So, what's the holdup of overriding Trump's Veto?

McConnell won't let anything through as head of the Senate. So, now it isn't really Trump harming everyone in Government it is McConnell. 800,000 workers and their families should be mad as Hell! at McConnell at this point because he is the constipation point of resolving all this now!
