was the basil cell carcinoma caused by the sun or having a cell phone up to their ear or both?

Recently a friend had a basil cell carcinoma removed from their right ear lobe. Was this caused just by being out in the sun so much during their life OR was it also caused by having a cell phone sometimes up to their right ear because they  were  trained to be right handed (even though as a child they were either left handed or ambidextrous?).

Also, logically it should have been their left ear because they often have their window down in a car or truck exposed to the sun because they live in California where it is often warm  (not their right ear lobe). So, why the right ear lobe that they would put their phone up to?

I don't know the answer to this question. What I do know is that a triangle section of their lower right ear lobe was removed and the two pieces sewn back together. That's what I do know. The dermatologist is also a plastic surgeon in regard to all this so his  ears look perfect with just a small scar which looks just like a natural crease in his lower ear lobe now.

What I mean by this is this.

Even if an electric hybrid gives you some form of cancer you won't be able to prove it or your electric car or truck or even your cell phone.

This is why it is totally "Caveat Emptor" or "Let the buyer Beware!"

The makers of electric cars and hybrid cars and cell phones all know this very well. So, if one of these kills you, your relatives won't be able to successfully sue them.

This was true of people suing the cigarette companies when their relatives died from lung or throat cancer in the 1950s or before too.

480,000 people STILL die every year from cigarettes now and 41,000 die from 2nd hand smoke every year here in the U.S. too.

So, to not expect people to start dying from cell phones, electric cars and hybrids by 2050 at the latest (along with people not being able to prove what killed them before they die) is to be completely unrealistic and illogical.

However, also don't expect people to be able to prove this in a court of law before 2100 AD and make it stick and to be awarded posthumously amounts of money being paid to them after their deaths from these three things either.
