Democratic and Republican Presidents help and harm the nation and world in different ways

For example, Wars like World war II and the Viet Nam war were on Democratic presidents watch "Franklin Delano Roosevelt" for World War II and President Kennedy and then President Johnson for the Viet Nam war. Though Many people want to blame Nixon for the Viet Nam War he was actually the 3rd president to preside over it and the first Republican. Also, Nixon helped prevent a world War with China by embarking with a trade agreement with them along with Kissenger in the 70s too. However, Nixon was paranoid and Kissenger actually ran the government at times (just like Nancy Reagan did) while Reagan was starting to slip during the last part of the Reagan presidency.

So, actually Nixon's paranoia along with being the best World Statesman President of the 20th Century were Nixon's actual legacy. But, this genius also was on the edge of mental illness as well like it is for many genius type presidents as well as world leaders in general down through history.

Though you can blame George W. Bush (Bush II) for the Iraq war it also must be known that Saddam Hussein tried to assassinate his father. So, Bush II was very angry and wanted to kill Saddam Hussein in retribution for this. So, this is one reason why the Iraq War happened and why Bush II allowed Saddam Hussein to be hung and executed like this.

Another war started by  Republican President Eisenhower was the Korean War which also cost thousands of American lives.

So, you have two wars: World War II and Viet Nam war that started under a democratic president's watch.

And you have the Korean war, Desert Storm and the IRaq and Afghanistan war under Republican presidents.

Then you have different things that happen under democratic presidents that Republican president. 

Under Republican presidents you get increase gun rights and the ability to own weapons more. 

Under democratic presidents you have less rights to own weapons of all kinds to protect yourself and your family from intruders.

Under Republican presidents the ecology of the U.S. suffers more as sensitive areas are raped by businesses.
Under Democrats you have more protection generally for ecological and pristine areas.

However, one exception is because of the Great Recession Obama- a democratic president actually opened up the Arctic areas to the north of Alaska for drilling which is unexpeccted. But, to be fair this option was originaly granted by the Bush II administration and Obama was forced to carry on with this precedent whether he wanted to or not as a president because of legal issues because the government didn't want to be sued for breach of contract by businesses.

So, these are just some of the issues Americans of all shapes and sizes and areas where they live will be voting on when they choose a president in fall 2016. 

Obviously, this was written by an independent who sees neither the Republican nor Democratic parties as perfect or necessarily desirable in any given year.

But, because of this sort of neutrality and seeing them both for what they actually are rather than living in some kind of unrealistic fantasy like many party members do it is more even handed than the propaganda you are going to hear from either party.
