God's Gift of Seeing the Future

I suppose it is like any other gift whether that be physical, mental or spiritual. It has it's good sides and it's bad sides like any gift.

For example, I might walk by someone at age 8, 9, 10 to 12, for example and know that this person was going to die in the next week. And sometimes I would sort of just keel over and almost faint on the grass of the lawn I was walking by. Because as a child I really didn't want to know that about anyone unless it was about me, my friends, my relatives or something like that. And even then, I'm not sure information like that is useful unless there is some hope to save that person from their death.

So, I guess I didn't really see this gift as being a Blessing until I was all grown up and about 30 or so where I could actually handle the whole ethical responsibility of it all.

However, it saved my life and others lives all along the way if I saw something coming that I could help myself or others avoid. And sometimes it is just the knowledge that someone likes you and sometimes that can be wonderful if you are a boy and she is a girl of the right age for you.

So, Seeing the future is something that anyone can do to varying degrees. However, it is not something you force, it is something that just happens usually out of the blue.

And there are different kinds of powers of all this too.

For example, even though I told many people about the Loma Prieta Quake in 1989 in October:
  1. 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake - Wikipedia, the free...

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Loma_Prieta_earthquakeCached
The Loma Prieta earthquake was named for the Loma Prieta peak in the Santa Cruz Mountains that lies just to the east of the mainshock epicenter.

There really was nothing I could do to stop it. I could only recommend people not be there when it happened, and I myself took my family (wife and 3 of our 4 children) to Maui. The oldest was on the football team and president of a Club and wanted to stay with his granparents far away from the coming epicenter of the earthquake.

At that time I was in Family Student Housing, about 6 miles from the epicenter of the Earthquake and so leaving likely was a good idea for especially my younger children.

Then there are events that you can't stop but you might be able to change them a little by praying like when my now ex-wife insisted on driving that day with my stepdaughter who was about 14 or 15 then. So, I prayed as hard as I could to stop their deaths and so the head on collision still happened but neither of them died like I foresaw if I hadn't prayed really hard while they were getting ready to go.

Then there are events like when I look forward before I drive a long distance to see if I see any accidents. When I was young I used to see accidents or near accidents as like a plate of steel in the middle of the road in my mind. Then I would visualize a blow torch and acetylene one burning through the metal.

Then as I got older I realized potential accidents are all time sensitive. So, I didn't have to work so hard. I just needed to leave about 10 or 15 minutes later to avoid an accident that I foresaw. This was much less effort than burning through it with prayerful visualizations.

So, I learned with time that simply not being there when something you don't want to occur happens is always the best way to avoid problems.

So, if you are gifted and young I know it's hard to see stuff before it happens especially if you see people die and it happens. But, learn to pray because if you make it to about 30 or even 25 for some of you, it all gets a lot better and you begin to understand why God created you the way he did.

People like us for thousands of years helped our people and tribes survive almost anything. So, this is a good thing that you know how to help some people if you learn to be very wise about it and not naive in what you say.

Many people cannot handle people who see the future. Don't talk to them ever about what you see. However, if you are careful you might save their lives too by just redirecting them time wise without saying anything about what you see.
