I was listening to NPR news today on the radio as I drove to pick up our family's dog from the groomer. They were talking about how there is a group out of St. Peterberg now in Russia whose soul purpose is to make up U.S. news. Then they take the bogus news and add headlines like it come from CNN or Fox News or MSNBC with videos of things that didn't really happen.
Then people see this news and twitter and Facebook about it all over the world but it isn't true and it isn't real at all.
This is done to denigrate life in the U.S. to people living elsewhere on earth to make them think the U.S. is a bad place and not one to be emulated or to travel to.
However, when I went to search for this at NPR today I wasn't able to find it in a timely matter. However, I feel it is worth reporting about because if you find things reported out of Russia now you have to double check with CNN.com or MSNBC.com or one of the other networks to make sure it really happened at all here in the U.S.
