The easiest way to make drones fall out of the sky would be an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) which can be generated without a nuclear blast if the area you want to blanket is small enough. But, the problem with this is not only would all drones immediately fall out of the skies when their computer chips fried but also all planes nearby would also fall out of the sky unless they could glide their planes because of direct wires for pulling ailerons and stuff connected to the stick or yoke and pedals. But, even their engines would quit as well and be unable to restart along with any cars, trucks, boats and planes within that one mile or more area. And not only that everything electrical would stop working because of this as well in that radius or diameter where this EMP was released. And it is possible that some people would die from sparks off of metal and electrical equipment if this was done as well.
However, in an emergency if you wanted to stop a mass of drones attacking this could be done to save hundreds or thousands of lives at one time.
