This doesn't make sense to me except maybe in a racist way. In the past, the U.S. kept both countries at arms length to avoid nuclear war with them both. So, to me, you either make friends with both Russia and China or you keep your distance and thereby keep your nation intact. Otherwise, we might be a proxy war with China with Putin the beneficiary of this. So, my thought is that Trump is a white racist whether he admits it or not. So, either make friends with both or keep your distance from both. This makes no sense to me.
Creating a war of words might only lead to an actual nuclear war with a people who are not given accurate news about the world because of censorship anyhow.
