This is the hottest I have seen Hawaii in October since I have been coming here

Let me give you an example: In Kauai in a newer facility we had air conditioning, to mitigate the heat and humidity but on Maui where we like to stay we don't have air conditioning. is this a problem?

Yes. it is becoming a problem now for me because I'm almost 70 and am not used to this humid heat often reaching 90 degrees without air conditioning. So, though I could go hide in my rented convertible muscle car and run the air conditioning all day or go to a mall (like many people do now here on Maui when they are not working because they can't afford to pay for air conditioning either.

But, the point is that slowly the temperatures here in October have climbed so it is less and less pleasant to be here in October to the point where the next time I come I might come in November just so it isn't so hot.

On top of this if you stay somewhere nice it might be 500 dollars a day for 2 or something like that for your hotel room or condo. However, right now because of the Hurricanes in the Caribbean it is going to be around 700 dollars a day because people are coming to Hawaii from the east coast because the Caribbean is wiped out by hurricanes instead, which also means you are likely going to be paying 1000 dollars a day between December and March too (for a really nice place to stay with a kitchen a bedroom and a couple of bathrooms and a terrace overlooking the ocean.

At this point I'm not willing to pay 1000 dollars a day for just 2 people when I could stay here with 5 people a few years ago (my children and their friends) for around 700 dollars for everyone per day in a condo.

So, this is my point of view looking at all this. Others might have a different point of view. So, likely within 50 years people won't come to Hawaii as much because it just got too hot for tourists unless it is for nostalgia of the old days when the weather was nicer and the seas weren't rising as fast as now.

It might be okay temperature wise only in December through February for tourists then and the rest of the year if you aren't a local more used to these temperatures and humidity you are just going to cook sort of like in a Steam bath.
