Once Steele recognized Trump's ties to organized Crime worldwide and specifically to the Russian Mafiya which is under the Control Directly of Putin he became frightened. Why?
Because if any Russian mfiya member doesn't demonstrate loyalty to Putin he is killed on the spot without a trial worldwide. SO, BASICALLY THERE ARE NO RUSSIAN MAFIYA MEMBERS NOT LOYAL TO PUTIN BECAUSE THEY ARE EITHER DEAD OR SOON WILL BE.
Because of Trump's connections to the world wide Mafia including the Russian Mafiya, Steele knew from experience in MI6 that such a person could be easily blackmailed because this is how Mafias all operate worldwide.
So, if Trump were elected he would be blackmailed into being "Putin Blackmailed through the Russian Mafiya" because otherwise his relatives would start disappearing one by one around the world.
So, this is why Steele was terrified of TRUMP becoming president of the United States because this would make President Trump a Putin and Russian Mafiya blackmailed president and potentially the beginning of the end of all democracies on earth.
