If this were the 1950s and people tried to steal the private lives of people like the internet and cell phones do now thousands would be dead in the streets

Violence was sort of the answer to everything before the Viet Nam War a lot. So, often things were settled in fist fights and with gangs with knives and clubs and fists. But, they would be horrified in the 1950s by the use of guns and assault weapons because this would be unthinkable then for almost everyone.

There was a thing called honor then where you never shot someone when you could have a fist fight or confrontation of some sort instead. So, it was very unlikely that someone was actually going to get shot in the 1950s. They might wind up in the hospital with a broken arm or head in a fist fight or even from a club or a knife. But, getting shot was considered only for the battlefield for the most part.

This was just a part of the sensibilities regarding honor which was more prevalent then simply because most men got drafted or joined the military for 4 years time some time between their 18th and 26th birthday.

So, most men of all races had military discipline from their time in the military whether they wanted this to have happened or not. And many long term friendships between the races came from these times in the military as well.

Privacy was very very important then. But, slowly ever so slowly our privacy has been coaxed out of us in order to play for free on home computers and on our smartphones over the last 40 years time by companies that wanted access to literally everything we do in order to sell it to the highest bidder, especially companies like Facebook and Google and others.

Also, the private lives of literally everyone on earth connected to a cell phone or the internet in anyway is a commodity that can be sold over and over again for hundreds of years to various different customers worldwide including legal ones and illegal ones. This is a very big business for companies which is why they don't charge you for doing what you do online. All you have to do is to obtain or find wifi yourselves and to buy your own computers and phones. And if you have free data on your plan on your smartphone, theoretically you could surf online 24 hours a day just using only your phone if your provider will let you do this once you get a free data plan. And then cookies are stealing every ounce of your information including every location you are at worldwide every second you own a smartphone or regular cell phone.

IF you don't or didn't understand this why do you have a smart phone or a computer? Or maybe a better question is: "What are you going to do about this now that you know for sure what is happening to you 24 hours a day every day?"
