209 Days

This is the length of time that a MRNA vaccine is supposed to protect you from the original coronavirus that landed about a year ago now here in the U.S. So, this would be the coverage you get from a Pfizer vaccine series or a Moderna Vaccine series of 2 shots.

I was thinking about this tonight because 182.5 days is exactly 1/2 of a year because 365 days is one year.

So, 209 days would be 26.5 days longer than 6 months from 15 days after your last vaccination with a Pfizer or a Moderna two shot series.

By getting vaccinated you likely are saving the lives of potentially thousands to millions of people each. Because all it takes is one person who is asymptomatic to spread this thing to thousands to millions of people in a long term chain reaction.

For example, unvaccinated people in places like India and Brazil are now asymptomatic and spreading new variants all around the world as I write this. It's the luck of the draw when one of these variants that is putting whole families in hospitals in India (or killing them) gets here to the U.S. I figure if it has already been spotted (last week already) in Switzerland then it's likely already here some place already in the U.S. like Hawaii, or California or Washington or even Oregon or all three more likely or New York City or Chicago or even Houston or Dallas or Fort Worth. Because this is just what viruses do.

They are completely opportunistic and never fair in how they move around the world. This is the way they have always been. The problem with this one is that it has as many variants as the common cold or flu so we might not be able to stop it from mutating and getting ever more fatal with each new mutation.
